YOUTH AND FAMILY RECREATION
While staying at the Villas of Amelia Island Plantation you may enjoy a variety of age-specific, supervised recreational activities for children, teens and young adults. Kids can spend the day in Camp Amelia or attend our Camp @ Night events. Junior Adventurers from ages 9 to 15 will enjoy the new Gamers lounge at the hotel or activities and special trips. Movie nights, and seasonal beach fires, games and crafts are also offered as recreation for the whole family.

Camp Amelia
Camp Amelia gives guests, from ages 4-12, the opportunity to explore the resort and discover nature, science, salt life, and much more! Interactive learning excursions in either half day or full day themed sessions are available. Campers will construct a unique craft and create life long memories with an award winning recreation department. Participants are required to be toilet trained.

Daily Themes:
Salt Life Sunday
(Morning Session) This Sunday morning camp takes guests to the resort beach where you will discover unique shells and sharks teeth, learn about the sea animals relative to Amelia Island and partake in beach activities such as relay races. Then use your imagination to design a one-of-a-kind sand art!
(Afternoon Session) Afternoon camp will include a visit to Drummond Point Park where the campers will learn about the marsh life animals, indulge in edible plants, enjoy games and a collect rustic materials to craft the afternoon memorabilia.
Mega Movin' Monday
(Morning Session) Get Mega Movin' in the morning by joining the counselors in a fun array of active, over-sized challenges suitable for all ages, test your balance on wheels, and learn team cooperation skills. Take home a self designed exclusive piece of sports paraphernalia.
(Afternoon Session) Afternoon moving session will embrace tennis games, agility activities at Racquet Park, and meet one of our Cliff Drysdale Tennis players! Discover the many ways humans and animals alike move about their daily habitats.
Tuesday's Turtles, Trees, and Treasures, Oh My!
(Morning Session) Become naturalists in training by exploring the sky high outlook by the sea in the Sunken Forrest. Look for dolphins, turtles, and birds through fun styles of binoculars while creating a take home journal to record the daily camp activities and nature excursions.
(Afternoon Session) As naturalists in training, absorb fun facts about our native animals, trees, and plants by following the nature map in a journey around property. Help the counselor find the eldest animal on property in order to meet one of our certified master naturalists at the Nature Center.
Star Watching Wednesday
(Morning Session) Be the star, write your own script, and create a costume article to perform in our Aury Island Show where the setting is a wrecked ship that was washed up from sea by Captain Aury! With flying imaginations, be the performer by showing off the best talents brought on vacation.
(Afternoon Session) Captivate yourselves by the stars, planets, moons and more in this afternoon session. Discover the galaxy millions of miles away when you construct your own star creation. Count the stars on our camp room sky and find the constellations you will see over the Atlantic Ocean.
Team Tanner Thursday
(Morning Session) Join Team Tanner this morning to participate in his favorite playbook of activities. While visiting the golf shop, set your team up for success while challenging your senses and being pushed to your limits by the camp referee's. When you have accomplished Tanners challenge of the day you will take home a winning gold medal to proudly display!
(Afternoon Session) Tanner's afternoon is filled with extraordinary water works, obstacles and speed! Battle to the finish in friendly competitions after designing your own team name, bandana, and chant while visiting Canopy Park!
Creative Color Camp Friday
(Morning Session) Ready for an exciting color filled morning camp? Have fun bending and balancing on our kid size Jumbo Games at Canopy Park. Meet and learn about Roy G. Biv while you tumble until your face turns purple. Watch your artwork come to life with a spray art masterpiece.
(Afternoon Session) See all the different colors fly on the beach while we parachute items high in the sky this afternoon. Bounce into rainbow relay races and collect the colors of the sea that you can add to your own colored collage.
Super Science Saturday
(Morning Session) Do you sink or float? Find out the laws' of buoyancy by testing yourself and other objects in the Splash Pool. Become scientists and search for Amelia Island's first settlers, the Timacuan Indians, at Walker's Landing. Create your own science experiment you will be able to take home with you!
(Afternoon Session) During Super Science afternoon camp we will be testing our luck against gravity in an EGGstremely fun EGGsperiment when we visit Drummond Point Park! Be sure to wear your safety goggles as you learn all the food we love to enjoy and try out your hand in a homemade treat!

Camp @ Night
Parents are not the only ones that want a fun night out! Camp Amelia @ Night allows our youth guests, from ages 4-12, to meet and interact with new friends on vacation. Campers will travel around property to experience our nightly resort program, test their creativity by crafting an exclusive memento, and explore their imaginations during extreme game time. Participants are required to be toilet trained.

Fun with Food Night Thursdays
Be the Top Chef! You will be able to play with food in way's your parents won't let you at home. Get your hands sticky as you make an edible treat when you visit Nature Slice! Have a food battle with our counselors and uncover the 5 food groups that make dinner so tasty!
Pajama-Rama Glow Party Fridays
Dance under the stars in your PJ's at our Camp Glow Party! Lights, bubbles and music will bring the party alive! Find the constellations in the sky and create an out of this world souvenir. Take the party outside while you travel around the resort and show off your favorite PJ's at Canopy Park.
Pirate and Princess Party Saturdays
Are you ready to search for Captain Aury's long lost treasure? You will be going on a resort wide treasure hunt to find Captain Aury's treasure that was lost hundreds of year ago. Sit around a crackling fire and hear the story of our local pirates while wearing your pirate gear.

Junior Adventures
Want to meet some friends on your vacation? Join us at Gamers for a weekly tournament in foosball or air hockey, compete for the win in video games, or simply hang out at Gamers lounge, open daily with Key Card Access. Connect with other teens while taking a tour on a Beach Cruiser or Segway. Paddle through the marshland with our teen expert or accept the challenge of a round of adventure golf. Just For Families
Just for Families provides afternoon entertainment and family friendly evening programs throughout the resort. Bring the entire family to the Splash Deck to participate in innovative activities, create a unique take home treasure, and meet our mascot Tanner the Turtle! After an afternoon of excitement, families can respite in the evening at a movie under the stars or relax at a beach fire while roasting marshmallows.
