Meet the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Team

Sal Barbaro was named the director of tennis for the Cliff Drysdale Tennis School at Amelia Island Plantation in the fall of 2014. Prior to this position, Barbaro was the assistant director of tennis for the Cliff Drysdale Tennis School at Amelia Island Plantation as well as the Adult Tennis Director at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, TX.
 
Barbaro's main areas of expertise are in adult camp programs and junior development, overseeing these programs at the Drysdale Tennis School.
Barbaro played junior tennis growing up in Texas and played on the tennis team at the University of Texas - San Antonio. Barbaro is a member of the USPTA and is certified P1, the highest rating of this organization.

Scott Colebourne, Director of TennisScott Colebourne, Senior Director of Tennis

Scott was recently named the senior director of Cliff Drysdale Tennis in the fall of 2014. Prior to this position, Scott served as the director of tennis at the Cliff Drysdale Tennis School at both the Amelia Island Plantation and the Stratton Mountain Resort in Vermont. While in Vermont, Scott guided the program to consecutive Top 3 Camps in the country rankings. 

With CDT since 2007, Scott is certified in Adult and Junior development with the PTR, and junior programming with the USTA, he is also active within these organizations serving as a national tester and tournament director. Scott has demonstrated superior coaching skills at the professional level since 1999, in New Zealand and throughout the US. During this time he has coached nationally ranked juniors, sectional winning USTA adult teams, conducted clinics alongside legends of the game, and traveled the country playing and teaching.

As a junior, he was nationally ranked in the Top 5 in New Zealand, and went on to play at the Collegiate All-American level at Vincennes University, Indiana. Scott holds a Bachelor of Management Studies degree, with concentrations in Finance and Communications from the University of Waikato, NZ.
